Speaking Engagements

Disclaimer: What I have said here has not just been inspired by Guy Kawasaki, but at places a direct copy paste from his website. Not because I am too lazy to use my own words, but because he has said it all too perfectly.  Why try to better perfection?

I like talking to people who want to change the world.  But I love to talk to people who want to change themselves 'before' they set out to change the world.  Those who know me or have heard me talk know that I can talk as long as you can listen.  I consider myself a better speaker than a writer, and a better writer than a doer. I'm very comfortable with large audiences, and two things separate me from other speakers:

  • I am a businessman and a television host who happens to speak.  I'm not a "professional speaker", a "motivational speaker", or a "guru".  (I wish I was a musician, and an athlete who turned to speaking, but I'm not that either).  I haven't even gone to any school or taken a course which teaches or certifies you to speak to people (more on that in my blog).
  • Most of my speeches are customized. I need at least one face-to-face or telephonic meeting before the event to make it work. I need to understand why you need me to speak to your audience and what you want to achieve from the event.  A good interaction requires me to understand your business.

I speak to a diverse collection of people including children at schools, students at universities, top management of large companies, and everything in between.  Some of my favorite topics are:

  • Personality. This speech explains the importance of personality in one's growth and success.  It explains what makes up individual and collective personality.  During this interaction I show you that you already have everything you need to enhance your personality, your aura, and how to fire it all up.  It's all about your thoughts and your attitude. The intended audience is everyone, be it the most over-confident individual or the one who has none, or those who don't have the confidence in their personality.
  • Entrepreneurship.  I meet many people who feel they can never become entrepreneurs or have been told that it's too risky.  This speech makes it easy for people to take that first step towards becoming an entrepreneur, and that doesn't mean they have to give up their jobs. I show participants how it is their right and in their power to become an entrepreneur. The intended audience is anyone stuck in a bad job, in the middle of a university degree, or running a charity run by donations.
  • Branding. The world is shrinking every day and thus becoming more and more competitive.  Everyone in this world matters, and everyone else is your competition.  The internet is the biggest source of networking, and networking is the only tool for real success.  The size and quality of your network matters more than ever.  Your personal brand is the only tool that that will bring you growth in your job, friendships, relationships, or business.  In this speech I show you how to position yourself, your product, or your company. Or how not to :) . Intended audience is everyone ranging from a young facebook user, tweeter, or a corporate brand manager.
  • Change. The world is going through a troubled phase. In particular my nook of the world has issues but also a great asset – population.  According to various reports and surveys we have the critical mass to turn the table in our favor, but it requires change.  Today's youth wants change, but lacks leaders or direction.  In this speech I like talking to people who want to change the world for the better, those who want to take the lead in bringing a social and moral revolution – starting with themselves.  Intended audience is anyone with a heart and a desire to live in a better world.
  • Leadership.  You are the best leader you'll ever find. Don't be confused by the promise of a messiah or a prophet. This speech of mine is very different from what you typically hear or experience at leadership conferences and moots.  I show you how to become a leader by taking control of your own life.  I show you how to break away from the sheep and become the shepherd.  This speech is for those who are tired of following or being told they can never lead; those who are bored with the usual leadership yada yada.

Personality Quotient is my agent and their website has a detailed list of my speeches or workshops. Please email Personality Quotient to arrange for me to to speak for your group.  If you are a charity, welfare group, or an educational institution who can't afford to pay Personality Quotient, please inform them and they will look into it.

America is not just a democracy, it represents a certain culture of competitive mobility and personality aspirations, politics is not merely a clash of interests, but a clash of dreams.
