The devastating first wave of Covid-19 took my beloved mother, and last week, my father joined her in the afterlife. I was blessed to have my parents as a constant source of comfort and guidance, but their absence has left me untethered and adrift in uncharted waters. For the first time, I am without their unconditional love, continual prayers, and good wishes for my well-being.

At almost 60 years old, I have to learn to navigate life all over again, which is heart-wrenching.
